Born 351/2309, on Eros in the Belt

A ruthless woman who grew up in a hopelessly poor rock-hopper Belter family constantly suffering under the heel of Earth-Mars rivalry, Fiday from an early age ran for OPA-affiliated organised crime, then served on various pirate skiffs before being given command of her own, aged only 25.  She was free to roam the solar system, but half of her bounty had to go to paying off her ship, the Tears of Corruption.  Some said that when she finally owned it, she would have gone to war with Mars and Earth all at once.  The 2340-41 war happened first !

Fiday has retained a close relationship with several Belter resistance groups, OPA or otherwise.

 

In 2335, a few days after the "Phoebe Incident", which saw the mysterious destruction of an MCRN Research facility off Saturn, Fiday was contacted by a second-rate black market trader on Pandora who had come into possession of some first-class goods smuggled out of that very place.  Martian IS was all over him, and he hired the Tears of Corruption to load off asap to a purchaser on Eros.  This led to her doing a stint in a Pandora jail cell, on charges of abduction and attempted manslaughter.

She was however broken out with the help of Carlota Kowalsky and her OPA fighters, after which Fiday made a pact with Frederick Johnson and headed to Ceres to extract information about a suspected Martian bio-weapon.  Unfortunately, that particular mission went pear-shaped, the ToC crew leaving two Ceres OPA dead and causing major damage to Fred Johnson's cause.

After that incident, Fiday Cylus faced some lean years, being unwanted on Ceres, ignored on Tycho Station, a convicted criminal on Pandora and with a price on her head on Mars.
