Born 09/2307, on Vesta in the Belt

Born into a ice-farming Belter family, the young girl was orphaned at an early age, and by luck and determination, actually survived.  She made her way to Ceres where she learned the rudiments of first aid and made herself generally useful.  That said, simply surviving was not enough.  Mercy's ambition is to buy her two younger sisters out of slavery, and this goal led her aboard the Tears of Corruption as the crew's medic.  Fearless, she has proven a skilled close-combat fighter, who like many of the crew combines the use of a boarding shotgun, deadly in close quarters, and an energy-powered close-combat weapon which provides an excellent means of cutting through bulkheads.

 

When a black-market trader of Pandora moon hired the Tears of Corruption to load off red hot merchandise to a purchaser on Eros, Mercy was on board.  In the ensuing gun battle at Pandora A spaceport, she managed to escape Martian IS.  This close escape must have rattled the young lady, who contributed little to the fight during the ambush sprung on Martian IS by the pirate ship's crew.

She was on Ceres alongside her captain Fiday, but that particular mission went pear-shaped, with Mercy decapitating a Zig Ochoa OPA gangster with an energy blade.  After that, the Tears of Corruption faced some very difficult years, since members of its crew were undesirable on Ceres, ignored by Tycho Station, convicted criminals on Pandora, and hunted by the MCRN-IS.  Nonetheless, Mercy remained faithful to her captain throughout it.
